This family lived for many years in Sugarloaf Twp., Columbia Co., Pa. Fourteen children were born to this couple. It is supposed that the emigrant ancestor of this family was one Hans Albertson, who about 1640 came from Holland, and lived at New Castle, Delaware, or at New Amsterdan, N.Y., or on Long Island. At any rate he bought land near the Delaware River, N.J. Members of this family live in Pennsylvania, Nebraska and elsewhere. |
