16 Destruction and misery are in their
ways:

24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles, through you, as it is written.

25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law; but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

17 And the way of peace have they not known.

18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

26 Therefore, if the uncircumcision keep 19 Now we know that what things soever the righteousness of the law, shall not his the law saith, it saith to them who are ununcircumcision be counted for circum-der the law: that every mouth may be cision? stopped, and all the world may become

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

29 But he is a Jew which is one inward- 22 Even the righteousness of God, which ly; and circumcision is that of the heart, is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all, and in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose upon all them that believe; for there is no praise is not of men, but of God. difference:

(I speak as a man.)

6 God forbid for then how shall God judge the world?

28 Therefore we conclude, that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is 7 For if the truth of God hath more he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the abounded through my lie unto his glory; Gentiles also: why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

8 And not rather (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one :

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

30 Seeing it is one God which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord Lord Jesus Christ: will not impute sin.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope;

2 By whom also we have access by faith 9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the into this grace wherein we stand, and recircumcision only, or upon the uncircum-joice in hope of the glory of God. c.sion also? For we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness. 10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised, that righteousness might be imputed unto them also;

12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

13 For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

5 And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts, by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if when we were enemies, we 14 For if they which are of the law be were reconciled to God by the death of his heirs, faith is made void, and the promise Son; much more, being reconciled, we made of none effect. shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. 16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed, not to that only 12 Wherefore as by one man sin entered which is of the law, but to that also which into the world, and death by sin; and so is of the faith of Abraham, who is the death passed upon all men, for that all have father of us all; sinned.

20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God ;

21 And being fully persuaded, that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift. For the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

2 God forbid: how shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

3 Know ye not that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ, were baptized into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

23 For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. CHAP. VII.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

9 Knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

3 So then, if while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
