With trumpets also and shawms: O shew yourselves joy'ful before the Lord the King.

Let the sea make a noise, and all' that therein is : the round world', and they that dwell therein.

Let the floods clap their hands, and let the hills be joyful together before the Lord for he cometh to judge the earth.

With righteousness shall' he judge the world : and the people with equity.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be : world' without end". A'men.

DEUS MISEREATUR. Psalm 1xvii.

YOD be merciful un'to us, and bless us

and shew us U the light of his countenance, and' be merciful

unto us:

That thy way' may be known upon earth: thy sa'ving health among all nations.

Let the people praise thee, O God: yea', let all the people praise thee.

Ở let the nations rejoice and be glad for thou shalt judge the folk righteously, and go'vern the nations upon earth.

Let the people praise thee, O God: yea', let all the people praise thee.

Perfect God', and perfect Man of a reasonable soul and human flesh' subsisting;

Equal to the Father, as touching his Godhead and inferior to the Father, as touch'ing his Manhood.

Who although' he be God and Man: yet he is not two, but one' Christ;

One; not by conversion of the Godhead into flesh : but by taking of the Man'hood into God;

One altogether; not by confusion of Substance : but by unity of Person.

For as the reasonable soul and flesh' is one man so God and Man' is one Christ;

Who suffered for our salvation : descended into hell, rose again the third day' from the dead.

He ascended into heaven, he sitteth on the right hand of the Father, God Almighty from whence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

At whose coming all men shall rise again' with their bodies and shall give account for their own works.

And they that have done good shall go into life' everlasting and they that have done evil into everlast'ing

fire.

This is the Catholick Faith which except a man believe faithfully, he can'not be saved.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be : world without end'. Amen.

EASTER ANTHEM.

YHRIST our passover is sa'crificed for us therefore let us keep the feast;

Not with the old leaven, nor with the lea'ven of malice and wickedness: but with the unleavened bread' of sincerity and truth. 1 Cor. v. 7.

YHRIST being raised from the dead dieth no more : death hath' no more dominion over him.

For in that he died, he died' unto sin once but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin but alive unto God' through Jesus Christ our Lord.

YHRIST is risen from the dead and become the first-fruits of them that slept.

For since by man came death by man came also the re'surrection of the dead.

The Psalms of David.

THE FIRST DAY.

MORNING PRAYER.

PSALM I. Beatus vir, qui non abiit &c.

LESSED is the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood' in the way of sinners and hath not sat in the seat" of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law will he exercise' himself" day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the waterside that will bring forth' his fruit in due" season.

4 His leaf al'so shall not wither and look, whatsoever he doeth, it shall prosper.

5 As for the ungodly, it is not so with them but they are like the chaff, which the wind scattereth away' from the face" of the earth.

6 Therefore the ungodly shall not be able to stand in the judgement neither the sinners in the con'gregation of the righteous.

7 But the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous : and the way of the ungodly shall perish.

PSALM II. Quare fremuerunt gentes?

HY do the heathen so fu'riously rage together :

Wand why do the people imagine a vain" thing?

2 The kings of the earth stand up, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord, and against” his Anointed.

3 Let us break' their bonds asunder: and cast' away their cords" from us.

4 He that dwelleth in hea'ven shall laugh them to scorn: the Lord' shall have them in derision.

:

5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath and vex' them in his sore displeasure.

6 Yet' have I set my King: upon' my holy hill of Sion.

7 I will preach the law, whereof the Lord' hath said unto me: Thou art my Son', this day have I begotten thee.

8 Desire of me, and I shall give thee the hea'then for thine inheritance and the utmost parts' of the earth for thy possession.

:

9 Thou shalt bruise' them with a rod of iron and break them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10 Be wise now there'fore, ye' that are judges of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord in fear with reverence.

ye kings be learned

and rejoice unto him

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and so ye perish from' the right" way if his wrath be kindled, (yea, but a little,) blessed are all they' that put their trust in him. PSALM III. Domine, quid multiplicati?

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me :

ma'ny are they that rise against me.

2 Many one there be' that say of my soul: There is no help for him in his God.

3 But thou, O Lord', art my defender: thou art my worship, and the lift'er up" of my head.

4 I did call upon the Lord with my voice: and he heard' me out of his holy hill.

5 I laid me down and slept, and rose up again : for the Lord sustained me.

6 I will not be afraid for ten thousands of the people : that have set themselves' against me round about.

7 Up, Lord, and help me, o my God for thou smitest all mine enemies upon the cheek-bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

8 Salvation belong'eth unto the Lord : and thy bless'ing is upon thy people.

PSALM IV. Cum invocarem.

[EAR me when I call, O God of my righteousness

have mercy upon' me, and hearken unto my praver.
