TH HE Publisher of the STOCKTON BEE has now to announce that the Publication of it is, for the prefent, fufpended. He cannot difmifs the Work without returning his fincere Thanks to the Contributors and Subfcribers for their Favours; and he hopes, if he should hereafter be encouraged to refume it, he fhall again experience their Kindness, which no diftance of Time will cause him to forget, nor any Circumftances make him ungrateful for. Ir has ever been his Aim to avoid perfonal and political Altercations, and in this Particular he has been tolerably fuccessful and by winding up the Subjects difcuffed at the End of each Year, Controverfialists have had an Opportunity to forget their Difputes, and fit down in Peace, if not in Friendship.
