The proposition for a Convention to revise the State Constitution, which was submitted at this election, was carried by a vote of 266,668 to 100,412. It required a majority of all the votes cast at the election to carry the Convention. There were 367,080 affirmative and negative votes cast, and 460,462 for Governor, 93,382 of the voters who cast ballots for Governor made no expression on the Convention, but they are nevertheless counted against it. Subtracting the affirmative vote from the total vote on Governor, the total negative vote is found to be 193.794, leaving a majority for the Convention of 72,874. 3831 523 693.. 535 217 254.. 239 234.. 267 198 298 437.. 316 423.. 313 286 577 886.. 323 854.. 1000 995 325 479.. 323 461.. 50 56 2703 Lyon... 334 270.. 365 235.. 488 1579 Nye.. 2306.. 3003 2552 Ormsby 1594.. 1393 1877 Storey 340.. 353 353 399.. 500 420 1595.. 2319 1739 1599.. 2499 1586 Meigs.....2961 1878.. 2890 1829.. 2789 1871 Washoe. 458 499.. 524 438.. 859 635 882.. new Co.
