The McKees of Virginia and KentuckyHeritage Books, 1993 - 176 Seiten The Mckee family originated in Ireland and appear to have immigrated to Scotland in the reign of William the Lion. The earliest known immigrant to America was Robert McKee (d. 1774) who settled in Rockbridge County, Virginia with his wife, Agnes Mckee. They were the parents of at least three sons. These sons appear to have married cousins and close friends who lived near the McKee family and some moved west to Kentucky and other states. Descendants live throughout the United States. |
