MARTYROLOGY (The Book of Obits and) of the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, commonly called Christ Church, Dublin; edited from the original мs. by J. C. Crosthwaite, with an Introduction by James Henthorn Todd. Dublin, for the Irish Archæological Society, 1844. 4to, cloth, lettered

ll. 5s. "The Book of Obits is the only authority for many important dates in the history of Ireland during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries; and has been much used by Usher, Ware, Harris, Archdail, and others. Their references to it, however, are often erroneous, and some remarkable entries have been overlooked. . . . It is hoped therefore that its publication, with full Indexes, may be of service to the student of Irish history. Martyrology is in fact that of Ado, with considerable abridgment and additions."-Dr. Todd's Introduction, which, besides an account of these works, contains much curious matter relative to the Irish Saints.
