BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the eleventh day of December year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-nine, in th fourth year of the Independence of the United States of America, L. Fairfield, of the said District, hath deposited in this office, the ti book, the right whereof he claims as Author, in the words following, "Abaddon, the Spirit of Destruction, and other Poems. By Sun Fairfield."

In conformity to the Act of Congress of the United States, entitle Act for the encouragement of Learning, by securing the copies of Charts, and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, dur times therein mentioned." And also to an Act, entitled "An Act, mentary to an Act, entitled an Act for the encouragement of Learn securing the copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the authors and tors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned, and extend benefit thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching his and other prints."
