There are some traits in one of the ladies of Bever Hollow that may remind a few of one whom they loved and lost, but whose circumstances had no resemblance to those of the fictitious character, except that she bore a wasting, fatal illness, with fortitude and cheerfixlness. Advantage is taken, however, of her position as a sufferer, to speak sundry words of counsel and comfort to those in like case, though the accidents of her story are only useful to heighten the interest.
