Q. Why didn't you go to an eye specialist? A. Well, I went to him when I got hurt and he treated me.

Mr. Quigley: Mr. Hanify, is it your claim now that you have not, at this time, or since the accident, as good vision in that right eye as you had before the accident?

The Claimant: No, sir.

Mr. Quigley: In other words, you can't see as well now with that eye as you were able to before the accident?

Mr. Quigley: It isn't a question whether you stay out late. I am asking you whether or not you can see as well.

The Claimant: It gets sore, yes.

The Referee: If you haven't got a cataract there, I am blind. Have this claimant's eye examined. (To Claimant) Sit back. We will have our doctor examine your eye.

Mr. Quigley: Dr. Somberg.

The Referee: Yes.

The Claimant: Or a perforating injury? The Referee: You had a perforating injury, that is right. That is why I asked whether you were treated by an eye specialist or why he didn't send you to one. That is the very thing that the doctor there says. I will give you another paper (hands form to claimant) to take to Dr. Janes and have him describe it completely. You take that paper with you and have the doctor fill out that paper and you bring it with you the next time you get a letter to come in here.

The Claimant: All right.

The Referee: Adjourn; re-examination, with a complete medical report by the attending physician.
