CHRIST REVEALED.

THE DEITY OF CHRIST.

CHRIST THE WISDOM OF GOD, WITH THE FATHER IN THE BEGINNING.

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth.

While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

When he prepared the heavens, I was there; when he set a compass on the face of the depth;

When he established the clouds above; when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandments: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Then I was by him, as one brought up with him; and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

Now, therefore, hearken unto me, O ye children for blessed are they that keep my

ways.

:

Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

For whoso findeth me, findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.Prov. viii. 23-36.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.1 Cor. i. 24.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.-John i. 1.

And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee before the .world was. John xvii. 5.

CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD.

Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?-Prov. xxx. 4.

While he yet spake, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them and, behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.-Matt. xvii. 5.

TYPES OF THE SAVIOUR.

CHRIST THE LORD OF DAVID, AND A PRIEST FOR EVER.

The LORD said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the
