The Association convened in the court room of the Daviess Circuit Court, and was called to order at 2 o'clock P. M. by the President. THE PRESIDENT: Gentlemen of the Kentucky State Bar Association, I am gratified to be able to greet so many members of this Association upon this our second annual meeting. The first thing in the order of exercises will be some words of welcome on the part of the Owensboro Bar, delivered through its chosen and worthy representative, Judge Lucius P. Little, who will now address you. Judge Little then addressed the Association as follows: JUDGE LITTLE'S ADDRESS. Mr. President and Gentlemen of the Kentucky State Bar Association: It affords me great pleasure to tender you, collectively and individually, that ancient corporate franchise-the freedom of our city. Our legal construction of this grant, when translated into, plain Kentucky speech, signifies the liberty to "make yourselves at home." In view of vague and conflicting rumors of delinquencies and irregularities in the mountains, it is proper for me to assure you that the |
