DINNER DRESS.-The robe composed of one of the new striped satins is bordered with two rows of black lace of a very antique pattern, the corsage deeply pointed, is trimmed round the top with folds of black net, also of an antique pattern, and finished at the lower edge with a fall of black lace; a second fall of lace encircles the bottom of the waist, and a knot composed of net forms the drapery in the centre of the bosom; the upper part of the sleeve is trimmed in a very novel style with ribbon and lace, the lower part is full to the wrist, and terminated by a fall of lace turning upwards. Hat of groseille rep velvet, it is a petit bord, the crown is trimmed with velvet, the interior of the brim with a row of pearls, and white ostrich feathers.

EVENING DRESS.-White crape robe over white satin, the corsage is cut very low and draped in very deep folds. The sleeve is short and full; the fulness is entwined in a very novel style with velvet flowers. The skirt is trimmed with a wreath composed of flowers of various hues with a foliage of bright green, it is disposed en tunique round the upper part, and another row laid on above the hem. This dress we must observe is worn over one of the newly invented hoops. The hair is combed flat on the forehead, arranged in full clusters of ringlets at the sides, and a knot behind. The head-dress is

composed of gold net which encircles the knot, ruby velvet turned round the head in a double rouleau, from which an end trimmed with gold fringe falls upon the neck.
