A great book about the story of the Kroeger family and the Mennonites from Russia. A riveting tale about both life in Russia in the early 1900's as well as the Canadian prairies in the 30's and beyond. ( )

A geneology of his family and there emigration from Russia to Canada. Very easy to read and told in a gentle, fictional tone. Provides good historical context and background about the Mennonite community, and about Canada's immigration policy from 1900 onward. ( )
